Rockstar currently lists GTA VI for November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. This is a release date; our calendar reminder does not claim an exact worldwide unlock hour.

Where the date comes from

The date above is the one on Rockstar’s official GTA VI page when this guide was checked. Save that page alongside your order receipt. A retailer estimate, search snippet or an old screenshot can remain online after an announcement changes.

Release day and unlock time are different checks

Plan around the date first. Before arranging time off or a group session, open the purchased game in your console library and check the current availability notice for your account. We have not established an exact global unlock hour from the sources linked here.

An all-day reminder is intentionally useful across time zones: it marks a day to check your library rather than counting down to an assumed midnight. Download it from the free checklist below, then keep the source link in the event.

What to do before release day

Check that the edition in your order matches the account and console you will use. Keep your account recovery method available, update the console and controller, and test your existing display and audio before buying replacements.

Use the preload guide to separate downloading from playing. A completed download does not itself remove a release lock. Allow extra time for updates and for any download queue; the time shown by your connection is more useful than a generic speed claim.
