The public catalogue
The visual reference for GTASpots was ViceMap. Its public page publishes a small region list with names, category labels and display counters. Our importer reads those public fields and records a successful retrieval time. It does not execute the source's scripts, submit its forms, reuse its form recipient or obtain a private database.
A scheduled daily check refreshes the saved catalogue. If the source is unavailable or its format changes, the last valid import is retained. An overdue update is labelled in the live source status. The website still serves its saved public information while a refresh is unavailable.
What the import does not contain
The inspected public source does not publish an individual-pin API, a verified list of player discoveries or measured game coordinates. Source-reported pin and scout counts are publisher display values; we cannot independently establish what they measure. They are shown above for transparency, not included in GTASpots community totals.
Our map layout is a navigation illustration. A source category called “confirmed” describes that source's classification of a region. It does not certify the placement of a safehouse, a money-making route or an individual community submission. Rumored and locked entries should be treated as unverified.
Primary material
For official region names, imagery and release announcements, consult Rockstar's GTA VI website. Its public screenshot collection names Vice City, Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Mount Kalaga National Park, Ambrosia and Port Gellhorn. We link to the publisher rather than presenting its artwork as our own.
The announced release date is information from the publisher, not a GTASpots promise or an exact release-time calculation. Always check the current announcement before making plans.
Community evidence
GTASpots submissions are stored separately. They enter a private queue and appear in the public discovery list only after approval. A public evidence link helps a reviewer distinguish observation from interpretation. A community post remains a community contribution, not an official statement by the game's publisher.
To suggest a correction, submit the region and a public source link through the discovery form. For a privacy or rights concern, use the request form. Read the region guide for original summaries and the limits of the schematic map.
